Tangled in the strings of fate…
The Folk of Grimsby Grove aren't sure why some Folk have, on occasion, randomly appeared in their midst over the past few hundred years. Some, like Finnegan Dooley, had a dramatic entrance, drenched in ichor, while others were brought to the Den as kits and were assumed to simply be lost. But something changed that night in the Forgotten District - a few drips became a dribble, then a stream, and now a torrent. As if spun from thin air, Folk are appearing almost daily in the Grove, and with them comes a new and unsettling kind of threat to our colony.

Travelers from another world
"Travelers" are what the Folk new to our world are called. While they appear almost identical to a normal member of Grimsby Grove, there are some key differences.
- Black Phylakardies: Their blood is black like ink, as are their phylakardies. Kit Travelers have black phylakardies as well, but "adult colored" eyes - keep an eye out for kits whose eyes don't match their phylakardies!
- Confusion, Amnesia: Travelers are often disoriented - those that don't claim to be from another world will often have partial or full amnesia. They may appear to be unsure of their bodies and may be initially clumsy. They do not immediately know most magic.
- Lost: All Travelers will have no idea what's going on in the Grove, and often don't know what a Folk is.
If you suspect you may have come across a Traveler, please guide them to the Den or the Promethean Society's hospital in Willow Valley for guidance and resettlement!
Thankfully, most Travelers seem benign. However, when you suspect you have met a Traveler, be sure to:
- Speak loudly and clearly, and move slowly! They may be frightened or otherwise agitated!
- Make sure they are not in danger! Some with wings may attempt to fly, for example - try to stop them!! If they are in a precarious situation, try to find help from a Guild member!
- Watch out for symptoms of illness! Some Travelers have materialized with contagious diseases! Do not touch an infected Traveler if you are not a trained Promethean Society professional!
DO NOT:
*If you find yourself experiencing formless regret, missing a home you never had, or finding relief when seeing strangers, you may be experiencing a psychological paradox.
Please report promptly to the Promethean Society's Willow Valley Hospital.
- Attempt to explain the situation!
Only Promethean Society Unexplained Phenomena specialists are qualified to explain unexplained phenomena! - Attempt to "catch" or otherwise arrest Travelers!
Giving them a bad first impression can damage their eventual adjustment into Colony life! - Approach a Traveler you find familiar!
This might be the result of magical fallout creating a psychological paradox - you don't know these Folk! How could you??*

Lost in Translation
"If we can't nail down exactly how to tell one of these things apart from a regular Folk, we could have another "Tattle Tale" on our paws. Patient 0001, "Azalhai"- the most intelligent and Folk-like of these creatures was able to orchestrate a mass escape under our noses and not only attack Doctor Dooley during said escape, but infiltrate The Den in order to bring more of these things into our reality afterwards before we were able complete our research. We can not let these things infiltrate the Grove any further, especially if they end up like Patient 0001. I know Doctor Dooley isn't fond of talking about this…"failure", but there's something here, between the Travelers and appearance of these… "visitors". The recent surge of Traveler appearances and "visitor" attacks are too connected to ignore. We need to draft a short warning for the Adventurer's guild at least - these things are starting to get populous."
