Part One: Major Changes
The PhylakardiaIt is no longer visible! It can also no longer change color when changing the eye color! In lore, it's either been absorbed into the chest cavity or removed because of family tradition. If you put an exposed phylakardia on an adult without an appropriate injury applied, your app will be rejected! |
The EyesThe pale, washed-out baby eye colors can now become any solid eye color you like besides pure white or pure black. It's totally acceptable to retain baby eye colors, but if you retain them by accident you'll have to get the Eye Color Changer upgrade to fix it! Eye color changes on adults do not affect/change the color of the phylakardia! |
Part Two: Choosing a body shape
In Grimsby Grove, the standard Witch Folk are limited by only a few rules. They must:
|
Limb length, body fat, musculature, torso height, frame, neck length, etc. are all up to you. While Kits look very much the same, adult Folk vary wildly in appearance, and you can (and should!) immediately display their new figure on your Adult Application.
Each of our NPCs is a legal Folk you can make! Just like people do in the real world, Folk can be a wide variety of shapes and sizes - create the character shape that makes you happy.
Part Three: Filling out the App

Part Four: EXPAND THE CHILD
In order to get your Folk approved, you must submit it to the adult approval channel in the Discord.
Part Five: Lore and Gradual Growth
For Folk, the transition from kit to adult can last for up to 2 years of gradual growth, or it can happen as quickly as overnight - it all depends on the amount of Ether in the area when the transition begins. If you aren’t quite ready to have your Folk be a full adult after their adulthood app is approved, you can choose to have your Folk exist in that space between; we call this Gradual Growth.
There are a few rules to Gradual Growth:
Gradual Growth includes:
- Until your Folk has completed their “growth”, they can’t apply any adult upgrades.
(You can still use Kit Upgrades and Mutation Crystals)
- They can’t learn magic or join a guild until their growth is complete.
- They can’t do Adult Quests; they can still complete Kit Quests, though.
Gradual Growth includes:
- The Folk gradually get bigger and closer to their adult build
(Not necessarily all at once; they can have some awkward stages along the way!) - Their Phylakardia slowly “becoming smaller” as it is absorbed into their chest and covered by skin and flesh.
- Their eyes fading from their baby colors into their adult colors
- There’s no limit to when you stop Gradual Growth; it’s a last hurrah to your Folk's kithood and a neat way of exploring the themes of growing up in the group. Just be sure to complete the process before signing up for a guild or doing magic!
